Seal - God's Judgement on the Pagan Rome (Dragon)
Dragon is the first form of Roman Empire
Daniel 12:4 - But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.
Daniel 12:9 - And he said, Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
Seals broken by the Lamb
Revelation 5:1 - And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
Revelation 5:2 - Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals?
Revelation 5:3 - And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it.
Revelation 5:4 - So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it.
Revelation 5:5 - But one of the elders said to me, Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.
Revelation 5:6 - And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
Revelation 5:7 - And he (Jesus) came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

Revelation 6:1 - And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.

This period started with the death of emperor Domitian in 96 AD and emperor Nerva's rise to power in the year 96 AD. This began Rome's Golden age where the spread of the Gospel and Christianity flourished. It lasted up until emperor Commodus making peace with the Germans in year 180 A.D.
The first seal marks the commencement of the victory of Jesus, by which the Roman pagan gods began to be vanquished, and their worshippers to be transfixed with the arrows of the Gospel. The foundations for the final victory of Jesus were laid in this seal.
